With special CTSA funding, we have initiated an innovative Community Reviewer Training Program across a consortium of five CTSA sites:

The program engages community representatives to increase their knowledge of the research process so that they may participate in grant review to enhance the rigor and impact of CTSA-funded pilot grant applications.

How it Works?
Community participants must not have any current affiliation with USC (e.g., student, employee, prospect, etc.)
3-4 hour training to learn about this program and the academic grant review process
Review of Pilot Proposal(s)
Attend study section/review committee meeting
Complete assessment surveys throughout the process
